Undergraduate Programs

The Wiess School of Natural Sciences offers 19 majors and seven minors, allowing students to explore their interests in a wide range of courses taught by world-class faculty in our six departments: Biosciences; Chemistry; Earth, Environmental and Planetary Sciences; Kinesiology; Mathematics; and Physics and Astronomy. Even as freshmen, all of our students have access to mentored research opportunities with our faculty and our partners at the Texas Medical Center. Many of our students present their work at conferences and publish in top research journals before they graduate. These high-quality research experiences are a valuable complement to coursework, ensuring that our students are exceptionally well prepared for graduate studies and professional careers.
