The Endorsement in Science Engagement is available to undergraduate and graduate students in any discipline and can be completed at any time during a student’s education. The Endorsement in Science Engagement is not a Rice University academic credential; it is granted and administered by the Wiess School of Natural Sciences.
Requirements for the Endorsement in Science Engagement:
Students must attend a total of six events related to public science communication and/or science outreach. Examples of events include workshops, lectures, and seminars by Rice faculty and staff or by visiting experts. A list of qualifying events will be provided each semester by the Wiess School of Natural Sciences.
For each qualifying event, a brief analysis must be submitted by the student via this Google Form: https://tinyurl.com/ricescicomm. The analysis must be submitted by the last day of classes during the semester in which the event was attended.
