The Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies offers the Succeed! workshop series for Rice graduate students and postdocs. Topics include professional communication, stress reduction skills, managing difficult conversations, and more.
The 90-Second Thesis Competition gives graduate students the opportunity to practice describing their work quickly and succinctly to a diverse audience. Graduate students from all disciplines get professional coaching, learn to communicate to a broad audience, and promote their research as they compete for prizes.

The Center for Teaching Excellence offers a Certificate in Teaching and Learning for graduate students who wish to build an academic career in which teaching will play a significant role. They also provide resources for graduate students currently serving as TAs or instructors of record.
