PSM students win PetroChallenge

Congratulations to teams led by Professional Science Master's students winning in the PetroChallenge sponsored by Schlumberger this past week. First and second place teams received cash prizes and the opportunity to compete at Nationals held in Houston in January 2016. Two PSM Subsurface Geoscience students were on the two winning teams. Caitlin Altomare '16 was on the first place team and Ziqian Fan '16 and fellow teammates placed second.

Not only were our Subsurface Geoscience students on the winning teams but also Divya Chandra, grad student from the Environment Analysis and Decision Making program and Sonia Zhang, STAT grad student were on the second place team. Congratulations to all of you! Both teams will compete to be North American Champions against the University of Toronto and Penn State. That competition will be held here in Houston in January.
